Shelley grew up on a Mixed Family Farm (Livestock and Grain) south of the community of Viscount, Saskatchewan. She is the fifth child in a family that is comprised of Mom , Dad , and Six girls. ( That's right- six girls under the same roof did proved to be interesting at times ) Through example , my parents taught me the importance of volunteering and contributing to the community in which you work and play. Furthermore , the community of Viscount and surrounding rural district , provided me with the exposure tor what would become a personal passion ...... recreation ; this same community, ( and the people in it ) most importantly instilled in me , a love for rural Saskatchewan and everything about it ! For this I am forever grateful. Upon completion of my elementary and secondary education - I furthered my studies in Saskatoon and not long after that , I found myself in the community of Foam Lake , Saskatchewan to embark on a career journey. Foam Lake not only provided me with work , but also with my life long partner and husband , Metro and a family that consists of two stepchildren and four grandchildren , as well as our beloved English Springer Spaniel dog , who is our constant companion.
I have always felt very fortunate ............. I like where I am , and I love what I do , does it get any better ?
